Xbox Update

Hi Folks,

Any idea what the new software level should be? My system is on 6.10812.0. I have had no notifications that a software update occurred however my controller today updated again. Also under the system options I do not have the Update option for future
updates (Under Settings -> System -> system Update..... System Update) that Major Nelson was talking about. I recorded 30 seconds of gameplay and the replay doesnt look that much better to be honest.

Is the update still to happen??

The update is due to land today. I'm yet to get it.

 

It's the April update. It sounds like you have it.

The easiest identifier is not the number you posted, it's the one in brackets, should be 140411 I think.

I have no notifications that I've had an update in the notification centre at all. In waiting to see if I get notification that a friend has logged in.

Is there a setting I need to turn on for friend notifications or anything daft like that? I also played a blu ray which played at 60hz not 50.

Is there some way of forcing the software onto the Xbox?

In the preferences menu you can choose sign-in & broadcasts and set it to favourites (default) or all friends.

 

Ahh. Found the sign in option. I'm guessing that wasn't there before? Will give that a try.

Yeah, sign-in notifications by default are favourites. If you hadn't moved anyone to favourites you wouldn't see any. (yes, definitely a new feature)

As for 50Hz, I think you need to toggle that yourself. Settings then TV I think is where that setting is hiding.
