Turned my xbox on this morning to be prompted with an update.

This update first froze at 10% then told me there was a problem, so i power cycled the console, it then froze at 75% so i left it on and went downstairs.

When i came back, the xbox was off, i turned it on, green boot screen came up, then it just goes to a black screen and nothing else.

    Bricked?

    :)

I really hope these are remastered versions.

Confirmed: Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 & Off The Record are coming to PS4, Xbox One & PC - Dead Rising 2 for Xbox 360 News

Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off The Record are all heading to PS4, Xbox One and PC, Capcom has confirmed.

A spokesperson for the publisher confirmed the news to VideoGamer.com earlier this evening after a leaked PS4 trophy list for the original Dead Rising appeared on Exophase.com this weekend.

In a statement provided to VideoGamer.com, the publisher said: "Capcom will be bringing Dead Rising to Xbox One, PS4 and PC. In addition, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will make their way onto Xbox One and PS4. We will have more news to share soon.”

Further details on the new versions, including release dates and information on how they're being enhanced for current-gen consoles, have yet to be revealed.

Try a soft reset. With unit on, press and hold power button for 5-10 seconds until it powers down. Unplug ac in the rear of the X1. Wait 30 seconds, then plug back in. Press consoles power button and wait for reboot to complete. Hopefully this will get you
    back into business. Good Luck!!

I've tried that a good few times, i've tried switching around the hdmi cable into different tv ports. The xbox turns on and i see the green boot screen, but after about 20 seconds it just goes blank, the controller will connect to the console and so will
smartglass, i think the update has definitely killed it.

Hi there, I have found this helped others out with the recent update not quite going through correctly.

    .

As suggested above do the soft reset, press and hold the xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, xbox powers off and then remove the power cable, now press the xbox button on the xbox maybe 10 times to drain any remaining electrical current from the unit.
Wait 30 seconds and reconnect the power cable, then power the xbox on using the xbox button on the console.

    .

That's only a slight variation on the soft reset procedure but it has worked for some people I have helped with this problem when all else has failed.

    .

    Good luck.
