    What is up with my console ALWAYS updating in middle of a game? Its very frustrating to be abruptly taken off. Is there any way to keep this from happening? On the 360 it would update when I would start the console, not the case with the xbox one.

    Hi all,

    i just wondered if anyone can confirm if you still get the little star on a game tile when it has automatically updated with instant on with the new Xbox experience?

    it was pretty useful with the old os

    Xbox Update when in a game

    normally games will update while the machine is in standby, or before the game itself starts.

    What game/s are you experiencing this with, and are you on the preview programme?

    The system update happens with any game.

    I am on the preview program. Is that why?

    Yes, the preview programme is a bit less polite than the other updates. It will just kick you from whatever game you are in and apply the update as soon as its ready.

    It's happened to me twice. It shouldn't be very often

    Yes, the preview programme is a bit less polite than the other updates. It will just kick you from whatever game you are in and apply the update as soon as its ready.
