Xbox update this morning

has anyone else had any issues with the update this morning ?

After updating, my console won't connect to my wifi even though the password is correct it will tell me to check the details...

If this is an issue with the update, I'll be unable to connect to install a new patch as using an Ethernet cable might be difficult due to the location of my router and things.

Terrible nextflix update this morning.

Ok, the last update (before this one) added the ability for netflix to automatically go to the next episode of a show automatically. Today's update seems to have removed that ability, and made it even worse than it was previously if possible. Now you
have to select the next episode of the the show BEFORE it ends. If you don't it goes to a suggested shows screen with no option to go to the next episode. Meaning you have to exit all the way back out to the program select screen, pick your show again, then
when it starts hit the more episodes button, then pick the episode you want.

Why the hell would they do something so stupid as this when they previously had things right where they needed to be? Is there any way to get it back to automatically going to the next episode?

 

Problems since update this morning.

Ive been having several problems since updating my 360 this morning. I thought I would list the issues here in the hopes of receiving some help / an explanation as to why they have occurred.

Firstly, my 2 month old xbox 360 slim (250gb) has been working fine up until this mornings update fiasco. I could even play a few rounds of Battlefield 3 multiplayer before the update this morning. It has been connected to my 2 month old router via ethernet
since i got it.

I have tried installing the update several times - each time with different errors. I have used the X,X,LB,RB solution to earase the update each time.

List of errors:

• Each time I log into live, I am taken to the Avatar creation screen. If I go through the process of creating an avatar (the only way to get out of the screen) and choose to save and exit I am told: "Can't save your avatar. Make sure your storage device
is plugged in". i hit "A" to save anyway, which takes my to the home screen - but it says I'm offline, says I have no avatar, with no friends, gamerscore or achievements.

• So I tried to reset the update another time - when i went to the 'storage" menu, the list of devices (the standard hard drive and the cloud storage) disappears and the screen acts as if im constantly pressing "A' and 'B' - providing a constant cycle of
moving between screens - Im not actually pressing anything.

• After restarting the console, I managed to get to the content list of the HDD and saw that it listed my player profile as currupt. So I deleted the profile (keeping all other files like save games etc) and re-downloaded from xbox live. Now I can sign into
live and see my gamerscore et al, but all of my save games have 'unknown profile" associated with them meaning I have to start all of my games from the beginning again - I was dozens of hours into Skyrim and Battlefield 3. Now, back to the beginning.

I'm not impressed and would like some form of response and compensation for the huge inconvenience this has caused me.

 

Same problem just gotta figure out how to get the ether net cable across as router isn't in the same room. Thanks xbox yet again buggering up my PAID service that I can't use

 

In a way I'm glad I'm not the only one, means they might look into it a bit quicker, it's a pretty major bug and with the release of CoD imminent there will be a fair few angry people if they can't connect on release day.

I had a few issues even with the Ethernet cable as it tried telling me my NAT type was strict and it refused to load anything.. Formatted my xbox hoping it would sort something but no luck. It's more unfortunate for people who can't get an Ethernet lead
to their xbox such as yourself because you'll need to get it back online in order to get the patch when they fix this.

 

Same issues!!!! If this is an update for cod then the games already made me rage before I even have it!!! This needs to be fixed asap

 

I've been having the same issues it won't let me connect even when I put the right password in nothing happens. Come on Microsoft get it fixed you're making it really hard to love your console

 

Well enough of you are experiencing difficulties that there's clearly an issue.
