    xbox update not working


    My xbox one says it needs to update. After step 2 of 3, the screen goes blank and then after a few minutes the console turns off. When I manually turn it back on, it again tells me it needs to update (or option of slipping and staying off line).

    I do it again, and again, it downloads the update and at step of 3 (after it said 100$ verified) it again goes black screen the turns off.

    Rinse and repeat....

    Greetings, Edensia Warrior. This error message means that a storage device (memory unit or hard drive) was not found during the software update. I'd recommend following these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:



    1. Turn off your console.

    2. Remove all console storage devices, including any USB flash drives, external hard drives, or the internal hard drive on the Xbox 360 S console.

    3. Add your primary storage device, for example, the hard drive.

    4. Turn on the console

    5. Try updating the console again.
