Xbox update issues

So a few days a go imupdated my xbox but it kept on turning off and then turning back on onto the green screen and then it would turn off again. That happened for hours. After looking into the offline tools i tried them all unplugging the xbox. Plug it
it insert usb and follow through some codes came as an error. And others didnt work. So now my xbox turns on shows the controler on the screen tells me to push the home button, then the green ''A'' button asks my country and then tells me to connect to an
internet connection. After i try the wifi. It shuts off and begins the process over again starting with the controller layout asking me to press the home button again. What do i do?

New Xbox One System Update Goes Live Today

Xbox One will be receiving a system update in the next few hours that focuses on addressing certain issues involving the dashboard, notifications, SmartGlass, and matchmaking, Microsoft has announced.

In a post announcing the new update, Major Nelson outlined just what the update will do:

Addresses SmartGlass issues for some users when coming in and out of connected standby
Addresses multiplayer issues for some users when re-joining games
Addresses issues with inconsistent notifications for some users
Addresses dashboard performance for some users
Offers improvements for Xbox One's TV, system update, and content update services for scaling over time

The article also when on to note that those with the "Instant On" feature enabled will be first to get the update since it will roll out in waves. Everyone else will received it by Thursday 12/12/13. I for one am very happy to see Microsoft quickly begin to fix the many small issues or bug currently found on the Xbox One. We can only hope they continue to be persistent and hasten.

Hello, is your internet service provider Time Warner by any chance, if so try a wired connection if you can, if that's not possible try changing the security settings on your router.

If you're not using Time Warner then rather than trying the OSUDT files from the offline system diagnostic website try the restore factory defaults file.

If it is happening with system updates then I would recommend you use the console in instant on mode and confirm the option to allow the console to download game and system updates.

Those updates are pushed out by the Dev's of the game, not Microsoft directly. Microsoft simply approve of the release and boom, away it goes. At what time is at the game dev's discretion. Usually when an update like that get's pushed out at an awkward
or high volume time it's due to a serious fix that's needed or a patch that can't wait. I don't think they're out to be malicious at all but, I feel your pain.

You probably had gone past the mandatory time for the update, hence why it went to the update screen when you turned it on. Also there was a Live core issue affecting sign in and updates the last 2 days.

The restart after verify takes a while, maybe a couple of minutes, so if you normally do automatic updates with Instant on mode overnight, you wouldn't be used to the wait while it restarts. Typically the TV will show no input right before the XBox
console will start back up and go to the Applying stage of the update.

Try this.. Turn off the console and remove the power cable for a couple of minutes.

Restore power and turn on.. All being well the update should continue.

This kind of update is NOT pushed out by the game developers. It was a system update not a game update.
