    Hello. I need some help. I'm attempting to fix an Xbox one for a friend, they said that it stoped working and won't open or update anything. After a bit of experimenting with it for while, I noticed when I connect it to wifi, the whole Xbox freezes for a while. After a few seconds it goes to a page that says "There was a problem with the update". And won't do anything. (Keep in mind she's had the thing collecting dust for a while now). Went to system info, and it says that the last update was 1/4/2023, but failed to update, not sure how old the thing is. But it's been a while, would really appreciate some help.

    i did it but it still wont work its just a blank bar not loading anything and when ever the xbox loads up i get the error code 80151907

    If your friend is unable to update her Xbox console due to the issue you mentioned, then I recommend that you tell her to try to perform an offline update using a USB drive, following the detailed instructions provided in the following link:

    Could you try removing the mains power from your modem/router for about 2 minutes, power back up and then try updating.

    Hi, will the console still reach the dashboard?

    If so go to settings/ system/ storage, highlight your storage device and press the following buttons in sequence on the controller LB,RB,X,LB,RB,X select yes on the next screen, the console will restart and update again.
