Xbox Update Failed Everything All Good!

This many people having the same problem you'd think we could get a legit answer as to why I haven't been able to play my system all day.

 

I guess this is what we pay 50 bucks a year for...

 

Not an issue for many others? All my friends told me they had to hard reset and some are playing now while others still can't. Why is it that i have to hard reset my xbox at least once a day? Not sure but like i said this is just big business leading us
down a worm hole of BS like always. I wish they cared about the consumer.

 

I am a loyal customer to xbox and have always told people to steer clear of PS4, but i just can't take this crap anymore

 

Man Juice, if you can get anyone with the issue to report it here in this thread with as much detail as possible, then I can certainly look further into this for you.

 

We need a majority of people for you to even look into it? Lol in detail. We cannot download the gta 5 update therefor we cannot play. That's it...

 

i know it isn't your fault, but someone needs to fix this.

 

Different players have different set-ups - information such as the type of connection, wired or wireless, 2.4GHZ or 5GHZ, etc, all contribute to troubleshooting the root cause.

For this, we need several players to have the same issue, so a consensus of the issue can be determined.

 

Ok I am not trying to be rude. It's just frustrating to deal with a company this size. I have tried wireless and wired with the same results for both methods. So wouldn't that make it not a router issue?

 

I understand your frustration - and I must explain, I'm not an employee of Microsoft, just a volunteer. In times of larger issues, I act as the sort-of "middle-man", working with the players and Xbox Support to resolve any widespread issues that may arise.

However, for this to be efficient, I have to ensure all the information needed is provided.

On top of that, if there aren't many players reporting the issue, it is more likely a local problem.

That aside, I have seen a few more complaints regarding game downloads/updates, not just for GTA 5, and I'm keeping my eye on it, to see if they keep coming in.

I was told to reset the network. then hard reset the xbox, unplug it for 2 mins, plug it all back in hard wire into my network ( which was a pain since my router is across the house away from my xbox so I had to move my xbox into another room.) Last step
was uninstall the game and redo everything from before and reinstall. Nothing worked, here I am still not able to play and neither can my kids. We have 3 consoles in the house and not one can get the update. Oh and don't bother to ask Rockstar to help they
say it's not on their end at all I had to submit 3 tickets, one for each console.

 

if it helps I'm using the highest home internet speed through xfinity and a NightHawk router made just for xbox gaming. No problems with it until today.

 

Very frustrating that there is no mention from anyone.

 

Very frustrating, having 3 consoles in the house and not one able to get the update. I'm pretty mad, seems like there is always a new issue with xbox and this game. I can play any other game I have on my console except for GTA.
