Xbox Update Failed (5/15/17) Size: 459Mb

So as of today i woke up and seen my xbox tried to update. Not a big deal.

Well it turns out that it failed randomly. I was alright, i tried installing again and yet again it failed.

So i did what anyone would and hard reset it. it tried to install and failed again.

This time i disconnected from my wifi and reconnected and tried again..failed.

So i get online and look for solutions i tried downloading and forcing it to update offline with the OSU2 file, that started downloading on the xbox and then failed after 1%

Now im downloading the OSU1 file and hoping this will work..

Im getting really nervous about this cause i read online that my HDD might be going out and i might be forced to clone it or something like that and im not gonna try it if it gonna fry my xbox or cause more problems,

I could always return the xbox but i have had this one since day one.

Its a shame that one stupid little update that isnt even that big is preventing me from playing on my xbox now..

Anyone else having this problem?

And if so how was it fixed?

Hi, I'm a preview member and my xbox is having trouble downloading the 459MB update. I called xbox support and we tried a factory reset three times and still my xbox won't download 459MB update. We tried wireless, wired and still it can't download the update.
We tried a offline update and still it doesn't work, It keeps saying try again. The xbox support team said it has to do with the preview program update and they can't help me....Can you please help me get online...

 

Very slow System Update

Woke up this morning to a new system update around 450MBs in size and began downloading.

Everything was going as normal until it seemed to have jumped from around 20% to 70%. When it reached 90MBs left the update failed.

Started again and after jumping from 9% to 17% the update is now proceeding very slowly. The update should have taken around ten minutes to download but now its taking ten minutes to download 5MBs.

 

*Update* OSU1 is installing. Crossing my fingers that this works!

 

Having the same problem, but can't update offline because I don't have a 4gb usb. Although my update says 386mb and is trying to update from os .3047 to os.3054

Os: 2022 to Os: 3054

I contacted support and they said it was due to the preview program insider hub.

So im trying to unenroll now so i can actually play something.

 

if that's the case, you may simply delete the inside hub from your console and then try the update

 

That would be an easy fix but they told me to format my xbox to see if it works and of course it didnt,

Now im stuck at the update failed screen and cant go offline now.

 

Oh that sucks, you are now worse off than me, I have like 2 games I can play and I'm not stuck on that screen

If would have thought ahead and just unenrolled this would not be a problem.

But ah well i can either wait it out of have support fix this now.

 

I gotta wait it out too, I just hope they fix it soon.

 

Same here cause now im screwed either way. I got alot of updates and now 2TB of games to redownload. ._.

 

at least you probably have the Internet for it, if I had to redownload all the updates and the 450Gb of games I have, it would take me a couple of weeks. Also, would you please let me know when you are able to download the update?

 

I sure will. Im working with some guys on twitter on how to fi it and i'm all over xbox live support too.

So its gonna get fix sometime soon i hope.

 

Hey, you should be able to update your console now, I just tried mine and it actually started downloading.
