    Xbox unusable after latest preview programme update


    I installed the latest dashboard update under the preview programme and it's made my Xbox unusable, after the usual startup with the logo and everything the screen just goes black, the Xbox is still on and when I hold the guide button on my controller it
    brings up the menu for turning off the console etc, ive tried unplugging the console, restarting. And nothing different happens

    Update on xbox one has stopped xbox going online!

    Hi.. My xbox one won't connect to xbox live after the latest update yesterday, I'm on the preview programme. Spoke to xbox support and told to post here as a known problem. Can someone tell me how to resolve as my xbox is currently useless!

    You'll want to post in the
    Xbox One Insider Program Forums     for the best information and assistance. They'll have the best information and steps to troubleshoot. Since the update is still in the early stages, things may not work correctly at times as it is a Beta. So they'll
    have the best insight and be able to troubleshoot any potential unknown issues. If you want to opt out of the Insider Program, you can do so from the Insider App on the console. Keep in mind thought that doing so, will cause your console to factory reset and
    any games and apps will need to be reinstalled to the console.

    No that doesn't work. I tried it already and I was thinking it could be cause I'm in the preview programme cause it happened around the time the latest update came out. So it could be just a glitch from the update. I'll try post in the preview programme
    forum and see if anyone has the same problem.

    Now is the time for you to unenroll from the preview programme KIRu8 if you feel you are getting too many updates.

    The programme is obviously not for you.

    Just use the preview dashboard app to unenroll and after the March update goes public you'll be back to one update a month.

    The preview for March is very near a public release, that's why I suggested you maybe should decide now.

    You're not alone in not realising there are many frequent daily updates in the preview programme.

    You don't want it. I have it and it's junk. The programmers have lost their minds. 2 years now and the updates get worse and worse. My Xbox one has had more problems since this latest preview update then ever before.
