Xbox unexpectedly shutting off after New Dashboard

    Xbox unexpectedly shutting off after New Dashboard


    So recently my Xbox One has just shut itself off while I was playing a game. This has happened twice so far since I have updated to the New dashboard. I checked the fan and it was a little hot. It's just weird this problem comes up after the new update.
    I knew I would encounter problems with this new dashboard, but nothing like this.

    Also I should note that games and apps perform very slow, and sometimes will crash and I'll end up with a blank screen. Not sure if these two problems are related.

    Anyone else encounter this problem before?

    Hey there. Anything preview related should be posted in the preview forums (forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx). If you get a message that
    says "Group Not Found" post back here so a member of official support can grant you access.

    Dude, I wish I was having that issue.

    I am having an issue where I CAN'T EVEN SEE MY FRIENDS LIST! Meaning, I can't invite friends to my games, can't invite them to parties, and I can't even join them assuming my friend's list won't load.

    @KenH2k4 I need access to the forums so I can post my issue.

    Hey there Victor,

    Are you stating that the console is unexpectedly turning off once you power it on? If not can you please clarify what you mean when you are stating that the console is hanging up a few seconds after you call it?

    If the console is unexpectedly shutting off go ahead and follow the troubleshooting on the support article that is linked below.
