Xbox unable to Send command to new Television

Hi Guys,

I used to have a LG television which worked perfectly to send commands such as "volume down" "mute" etc. Recently i have purchased a new TV brand new for a great price, I have connected it all perfectly but when i went through the TV settings on the Xbox
one it is unable to find my TV, it guides me through using the Wizard but when it sends any of the commands on the setup, none of settings are working, i Have also noticed that when i look for the TV manually using the TV set up option on the xbox, my New
panasonic TV is not listed at all, is there a way that this can be set up, because its a shame that i have lost compatibility of the TV working with the xbox by sending commands.

Xbox one console not controlling TV since receiving it back from service.

I recently had to send my xbox one into Microsoft for service. Since I received it back I am unable to control the TV with the xbox one. This means not powering on or off or responding to volume commands.

I have tested and the kinect IR is working. Tested with steps found Use OneGuide on Xbox One | Voice Commands for OneGuide

I have done the automatic setup of the television in the device setup as well as manually entering in the codes. I have an LG 55LB5900-UV television.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

Xbox One IR Blaster commands

The Xbox One is sending the "power toggle" command to my television and a/v receiver. It should only send "power off" when shutting down, and "power on" when turning everything on.

If you walk in and say "Xbox on" everything is functional.

When you're all done and say "Xbox turn off" everything is functional.

When you use a Logitech Harmony to power down, everything shuts off. The Xbox then sends out "power toggle" making the television and receiver turn on again without user interaction. This is not the expected behavior when you use the remote to power everything
down.

Is there a way to update the IR blaster commands that the Xbox is transmitting?

I need to be able to use both my remote and my Xbox to turn the system off.

 

Hi i cant answer your question but can i ask your opinion on the picture quality you get for games and also hd tv? Considering buying this tv myself.

Jack / anyone else who finds this thread and wants to know: The quality is very good, especially given the price (£350 at time of writing) I've been using mine for gaming as well as HD TV and both are great!

I've had no issues with the quality, except for when using DivX Media server to stream stuff to Media Player on the Xbox One (as a DLNA server). After switching to PLEX (and turning transcoding to 'Make my CPU Hurt') I now get fantastic quality, and recommend
it for its other features too
