    Hi - I recently tried to sign up to Xbox Live Gold but was prevented from doing so because my account was showing an unpaid amount due for Xbox Ultimate. I checked my bank accounts to see that I have already had two payments debited for Xbox Ultimate.
    I have never signed up to Xbox Ultimate and nor has anyone else in my family. In addition to trusting my children implicitly(!), I am also in any event the only one who knows the payment codes to authorise any purchases. My question is how could I have been
    subscribed to this automatically and why would Microsoft refuse to refund the two payments under these circumstances. I understand that I am beyond the 30 day refund deadline, however given that I never signed up for the subscription in the first place, the
    payments were not ones that I was looking out for and it doesnt seem that unreasonable for me to have only noticed them by chance some time later. I have now been cut off twice by Microsoft on calls which is fairly frustrating, but not before the last agent
    said that Microsoft have no possible way of refunding a customer ever when they are outside the 30 day deadline. Given the technological achievements that Microsoft have given us over the years, I found this less than convincing.

    Here is the convertion ratio:

    1 month of Gold = 20 days of Ultimate

    3 months of Gold 50 = days of Ultimate (1+ month)

    6 months of Gold 79 = days of Ultimate (2+ months)

    12 months of Gold 4= months of Ultimate

    24 months of Gold 8= months of Ultimate

    1 month of Xbox Game Pass (Console Games)= 20 days of Ultimate

    3 months of Xbox Game Pass (Console Games)= 2 months of Ultimate

    6 months of Xbox Game Pass (Console Games)= 4 months of Ultimate

    12 months of Xbox Game Pass (Console Games)= 5 months of Ultimate

    I'm going to pass on the information about the new conversion rules:

    1-Xbox Live Gold and PC Game Pass Conversion Ratio: Remaining time will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time at a 3:2 ratio and rounded up to the next full day. For example, any remaining 90 days of Xbox Live Gold or PC Game Pass will convert to 60 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
    2-Xbox Game Pass Console Conversion Ratio: Remaining time will be converted to Xbox Game Pass final time at a 4:3 ratio and rounded up to the next full day. For example, any remaining 90 days of Xbox Game Pass for Console will convert to 68 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
    3-EA Play Conversion Ratio: Remaining time will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time at a 3:1 ratio and rounded up to the next full day. For example, the remaining 90 days of EA Play will convert to 30 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Gold to Ultimate

    If you subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate, your remaining Xbox Live converts into Game Pass Ultimate days. If the Game Pass Ultimate has run out you can either carry on with Game Pass Ultimate, or buy Xbox Live on its own. If you cancel Game Pass Ultimate
    you lose any pre paid Xbox Live time.
