Xbox ultimate 3 months discord promotion

My issue is best explained as a timeline.

On October 20, 2019 I renewed my ultimate pass for one month set to renew on November 20, 2019

On November 15, 2019 I redeemed the promotional code provided by Discord for the 3 months of ultimate.

On January 20, 2020 my subscription ran out (Should be February 15, 2020 based on the promotion code)

On January 28, 2020 my account was locked with a past due charge for 1 month of ultimate.

I was told by a Microsoft answer tech that the code was listed as only a 5 day code for some reason

I'm not sure what happened between November 20, 2019 and January 20, 2020 since I thought it was under the promotion time.

I think that there may be an issue with the code since I appear to only have gotten 1 month instead of 3 from the code.
