Xbox Twitch App Update!

Great news for broadcasters that use their Xbox's to directly stream onto the platform Twitch! With the newest update on your twitch app when users click on the "Broadcast" button there are cool new features available. Now, console streamers can use 3rd
party cameras for the twitch app to help enhance their streams. Logitech cameras are a really good brand to start with if users are looking into using a camera instead of having to use a kinect. Some other cool features that you have control over such as bitrate,
party chat audio and game volume.

"Xbox Broadcast" - How To Use?

As per the update blog post (majornelson.com/.../xbox-one-march-system-update-rolling-out-today), Twitch streaming will not be in effect until
the 11th when the Twitch app is updated.

Once the new version of the Twitch app is out, you will be able to link your Xbox account with your twitch account, and stream with ease.

Sorry to hear about the issue with the twitch app. Do you get any error when the black screen comes up, or does it go away after a while?

You could
roll back the system update, before you do that uninstall the twitch app do the roll back then update console. Then install the twitch app again.

One issue I dont like (and didn’t like before public release ad said so in the Insider survey) is how it handles your internet struggling when watching. For some reason this new version slightly shifts the aspect ratio. On slower speed connections the
part of the screen with the action is ever so slightly changing size (not normal) while also changing video quality (normal). Extremely annoying.

 

Personally I use the twitch app on my phone and computer to watch people's stream. I haven't really tried to watch via console. I hope they fix this problem so people would be more enticed to watch streams on their Xbox because that sounds like a pain!

 

I personally dont use the native Twitch app on the console but I love that this is a feature.

But now i think it's better to stream with XBOX app on PC if you want to stream well .

 

I watched a friends stream and he said that at times it great but at time's its also super annoying
