    Xbox Twitch App Improvement Suggestions for Streaming


    When using the Twitch xbox app to stream, there are “features” i hope can be changed.


    • When your controller batteries dies or you take it out to switch before the batteries dies, this action ends the stream on twitch. I think this is a intentional design and i don’t know the specific reason why but i would rather not have my stream end every time i swap out batteries.


    • When you switch games the stream will end and automatically start a new stream showing the recent game, again i think this design has to be intentional. It would be nice if the stream didn’t end when switching between games.

    These hinderance are unnecessary to me as far as i know... which isn’t far at all really. Hopefully these changes can be considered for the Twitch xbox app.

    I think you can't stream to YouTube because Xbox want to support Mixer 🤔
    Then why is there a Twitch app? If Microsoft were so hell bent to only support Mixer, there wouldn't be a Twitch App. And yet, you can still stream to Twitch.

    It's really up to YouTube to get a working streaming app on the Xbox One.

    So please suggest to YouTube to create a Xbox One streaming app.

    I don't use twitch to stream directly from my Xbox, but i'd suggest something with in your budget and that will work with the twitch app, I couldn't tell you what the limitations are though.

    that maybe the issue on console but i use twitch via pc and there are no such paywalls for 60fps streaming, either using obs or twitch's very own studio software which is absolutely free.

    twitch did not bother updating the app too much on the Xbox due to the way Microsoft shoe horned in their own streaming service.

    twitch was the original app on Xbox one for streaming then Microsoft changed the OS and banged in there useless platform for streaming (which shut down not long ago) and side-lined the twitch app, what incentive did twitch have to update the console app. none.

    are you streaming to mixer or twitch from your xbox?

    if you are then I'd suggest using the app to stream directly from your console and then log into your stream on your chromebook using a web browser so you can monitor the chat that way
