Xbox turns TV on but NOT off

I have my xbox set up to turn the tv on and off with its startup and shutdown, but, lately (and only since I got the preview update, it seems) it doesn't turn off with the system

The tv turns off perfectly fine, but it will not turn off when the console is shut down like its supposed to

I re-entered my tv information(Remote) manually, and I did check to see if the appropriate settings were on

they were, but still nothing happens...

is this a common problem, or is this some kind of issue with mine(that hopefully is fixable!)

HDMI CEC to Samsung Tv issue

I had an old Panasonic plasma Tv when i turn on my xbox the Tv turn on and the input is bring to Xbox if not. But Now i get my new samsung UN50KU (support CEC). The Tv turn on but the input dosent change to the right one ! Xbox hdmi-CEC function look bad.
May i have an update to resolve this issue.

Multiple Device Control

My Xbox is doing great turning on my TV and my Cable box when I say "Xbox on." But I also have my Xbox running through my Surround Sound Receiver, then to the TV. So currently, when I say Xbox on, the Xbox, cable box, and TV turn on, but I have to manually
turn on my AV Receiver. So this also means the audio controls are adjusting the volume on the TV, and not my AV Receiver. Is there any way I can make it turn on all 3? Basically the only command the TV needs is the power. The input and volume on the TV
never change.

I am having this same problem. It actually started just as you described; however now it also doesn't even turn on anymore. I have tried resetting all the remote codes - still nothing.

Same experience coinciding with Preview Update. I used to be able to do both functions (TV on and TV off) without issue, but now only the ON feature is working

Is the Xbox turning on at the same time that you are turning on your TV or switching inputs on your TV? My Samsung TV switches on my Xbox automatically.

Yeah, if I manually turn on the reciever, cable box and tv first, then turn on the xbox everything is cool, but if the tv gets turned on with the xbox by voice command or turned on after the xbox is on I get the intermittent blinking. Not a gigantic issue
but still a pain in the @$$.

I have the same problem but for me at least it's a problem only if I turn on the Xbox One console first before turning on the TV.

My theory is that the TV is only able to communicate its capabilities when it's actually on. When the Xbox is turned on and doesn't receive TV capabilities information, it sets itself to the lowest possible resolution to ensure maximum compatibility.

Lets try this. Before turning the Xbox on, turn the TV on first (and wait for it to fully boot up to it's "no signal" message (if it displays one)... Then turn the Xbox on.

this might not be connected, but if I turn on my TV first then the Xbox I don't get a picture but if I turn on the Xbox then the TV I always get the Xbox start-up screen and everything is good.

it could be that having the TV turn on with the Xbox is causing the TV to start momentarily before the Xbox and it isn't finding the signal.

next time it happens, try cycling through the inputs on your TV so that it rechecks the HDMI input for the Xbox. if it is similar to what happens with my TV then it should show your Xbox screen when you get back to that input source.

I've found i loose my tv signal if i don't turn my sky box on before i turn the xbox on, as the uk doesn't have the advanced tv functions the xbox doesn't turn my sky box on with my tv and av receiver and if i forget I'm left with a black screen and have
to restart with sky turned on to get it back.
