Xbox turn's TV and cable box off without telling it to?

So i will be playing a game or watching TV and my TV and cable box will turn off but the system will stay on. I do nothing to cause this i just dose it on its own. It would be one thing if it was just the TV or just the cable box but its always both so it
has to be the Xbox that's doing. The Xbox is in a well vented area as well as the power box, its never hot to the touch so i wouldn't say its a power issue. I really want to know if this has happened to anyone else or someone to tell me there's a problem so
i should get it fixed

My Kinect just turned off...???

It must have been a freak thing. But let's say you have your tv and cable box on, but your XB1 is off. If you turn it on, it will turn your TV and cable box off. I hate when that happens.

 

Xbox One Sleep Timer

Ok i found a way to do this. What you have to do is go to display and sound in the settings. Then go to set up tv and a/v control. Then to device power options. Once there, you see a few options. You go to the tv row, and then click "when xbox turns off, send" and select nothing. This way you turn the xbox off prior to going to bed, and set the timer on the tv. Also, you will still be able to turn the tv on with the xbox. The only downside to this is the need to manually turn the tv off every time, or to manually change this in the settings daily. Ypu also need an "oldschool" cable or another HDMI cable (my cable box doesnt have two HDMI ports) hook from the box to the tv. Hope this helps you guys.

 

When you say the System will stay on you mean the XB1 right? so it is not the heat when the XB1 is still running...

The devices really powers down? it is not like a short blackscreen / signal break?

Have you checked the Power Settings in the device and oneguide Management?

Perhaps it is the wrong IR Code.. or the calibration wich command it send is wrong... ?

 

So both the TV and the Cable box fully shut down but the Xbox1 stays on and works just fine. All i have to do is switch the TV back on and i am where i left off. There are no timers or anything like that on either device that would turn them off. The settings
work just fine for the devices any other time, its not like its consistent like it happens every 4 hrs or something. The Xbox1 turns them off when i shut it down and back on again when i turn it on so i don't think its the wrong IR Code? If it wasn't for the
fact that i turns both devices off i wouldn't think it was the Xbox1.

 

And when does it powers the other devieces down?

In Game, watching Blueray, In Apps, LIve TV? while doing nothing?

So it has happened when playing games and watching TV. I was just sitting there watching TV and the remotes were sitting on the table in front of me "Controller off" and nobody was touching the TV remote and both the TV and cable box turned off. Same thing
while playing games except i'm using my controller and i'm not near the TV remote and they will both turn off "Can still here the game in my headphones" so i have to jump to get the remote to turn the TV back on. When they turn off the TV makes the noise that
it's supposed to make when you turn it off so its not like its randomly loosing power or anything. Its not like it happens ever 20 min or anything like that. Its inconsistent and dose it every couple of days, so its hard to pinpoint a cause. Due to its infrequency
i cant resolve it, not without doing research for other people with the same problem but i cant find anyone else with the same issue.

 

This has happened to me also... All of the sudden, TV, Receiver and AVR power off. X1 stays on. This is not a power issue, all turns off (same circuit) minus the X1. There doesn't appear to be a pattern to this, just random times.

Happens to me too. Tv, Cable box, and sound bar all turn off, X1 still on.

 

This has recently just happened to me. The TV will randomly turn off during a game and also using apps like YouTube. I power cycled it, but that doesn't seem to solve the issue. It seems like the system sends out a random signal to the TV. It just started
happening after the new update, not sure if it is coincidence or if it is a bug. I just removed my TV code from the system and it seems to be one solution for now.
