    Xbox turns on then off instantly


    Hi, my xbox turns on for a bro second then turns off. Has anyone had this problem and does any on know how to fix it

    It is most likely a motherboard problem if it is immediately shutting off like that. The support article

    here     just suggests you
    request a repair    .

    DIY-repair guidance isn't allowed on the Xbox forums.

    Hey Taylor!

    I'd just like to add that we do have pages with troubleshooting information regarding your console turning off unexpectedly or not how it's supposed to.

    If I were you, I'd check the articles either entitled
    Troubleshoot Xbox One unexpectedly turning off     for the Xbox one or
    Xbox 360 console turns off unexpectedly     for the Xbox 360.

    Look that over and let us know if that information helped you out with the issue

    I had a similar problem my xbox shut down on its own out of random but it turned out that it overheated. Yours could be doing the samething. So I recommend waiting for about a minute (1) or two (2) and it should stop. If it doesnt, I dont know what to tell
    you but to go to a certified xbox repair shop and ask them.

    Hi i woke up this morning and i have a similar issue my xbox one s turns on for 3 secs then turns off.. mines under warranty so they will take my xbox away for fixing or replace it .. god knows how long it will be to fix

    It's important to check the power supply. The link @denis97g provided is the best to check, but please be extra safe that the power supply couldn't cause a fire hazard if not operating normally. The troubleshooter linked will have instructions on how
    to replace it through
    devicesupport.microsoft.com     which provides options for in and out of warranty.
