Xbox turns on but won’t power up to the main screen

So the hbo max app froze my xbox. So I tried to restart but that wouldn't work, so I unplugged it

Now after unplugging it it will turn on but won't connect to the TV and my controller immediately unconnects like the Xbox has been shut off but its still on.

I've tried power cycling, hard resetting you name it. I cant get a screen so I opted trying to factory reset with the USB but when I try to use the PAIR and EJECT power on I don't get a second power up noise, I get nothing. At this point I dont know what to do because I can't afford to try and find a new Xbox one X and im super peeved at the HBO max app for causing all this to happen. Someone help me please

    :)

Xbox turns on but won’t power up to the main screen

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

In this case, the only option to fix it is through the Xbox Troubleshooter which we will try to reset your Xbox. Even if you don't hear the power-up noise just follow the steps accordingly and it should work.

    1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

    2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

    3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

    4. Press and hold the Pair button (located on the left side of the console) and the Eject button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console.

    5. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

    6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Please let me know.

Xbox cuts on but won’t power up to the main screen

Tried that still doing the same thing error code E106 00000009 c0000102 dont know what that means
Error E106 occurs when you try to turn on your console

You see one of the following error codes when you try to turn on your console:

    • E106
    • E106 xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx
    Note The “x” digits vary.

    Solution

To resolve this problem, use the Xbox One startup error troubleshooter:

    1. Go to the
      Xbox One startup error troubleshooter
      .
    2. Scroll down the screen and select E106.
    3. Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.

Xbox cuts on but won’t power up to the main screen

    Hi crocmoniter,

    sorry to hear.

If you’re still experiencing a startup error, you should reset your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. If you need to bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter again, follow these steps:

    1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    2. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.
    3. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the
EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
      Xbox button on the console.
Note The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition does not have an
      EJECT
button. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the
BIND button (steps 3 & 4) and then pressing the Xbox button
      .
    4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
    5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
    6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

To reset your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, use the
    D-pad and
    A
button on your controller to select
Reset this Xbox. When prompted, select Keep games and apps. This option will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

If this does not fix your issue you should try "Perform an Offline System Update"

Hope this helps and please keep us informed

Xbox cuts on but won’t power up to the main screen

The reset using the power button and eject button did not work I do not have a USB drive to manually update the system and it sent me back to that black error screen that says something went wrong error code e106
Sorry but I think you should borrow or buy a USB as this is probably the solution to your problem. If that doesn't work, remains only to send in the XBOX to Microsoft. Of course, you can follow this path immediately. Here you can see if your

device is still on warranty and start the repair order.
