Xbox turns on but then freezes completely

Hi, I have an issue with my first gen Xbox One console. When I tried turning it on few days ago the console turned on, but it didn't project any picture on the screen and I couldn't pair my controler. I couldn't even turn it off. The only things that worked were the eject button, and after 10s of holding (instead of tapping as usual) the power button. I tried everything, restarting the power brick, plugging the console off for 30s, performing factory resets with the Pair+Eject+Power method, even tried to restore with the usb stick. But none of these methods seem to work, the console still remains frozen :|

I don't know if this has any connection to my problem, but I used the xbox usb port to charge my bluetooth headphones while the console was powered off. Is it possible that it caused some damage to the console's hardware?

Hi KarolMitas,

I had a similar issue with my Xbox One X. It would only show the Opening logo scene and freeze or wouldn't show anything and had the same issue powering it down. Found out my hard drive was faulty so got it replaced and installed the OS following the Microsoft guide for performing an offline update for Xbox One models.

Hi KarolMitas, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Seems like you have performed all the necessary steps, KarolMitas. If I may ask, were you able to reset your console removing everything through the Xbox Troubleshooter page? That will be the last resort.

Also, that shouldn't be a problem when you charged your Bluetooth headphones.

Make sure to follow the steps accordingly to access it:

1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

4. Press and hold the Pair button (located on the left side of the console) and the Eject button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console.

5. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Please click on "Reset this Xbox" then "Remove everything".

By crashing out do you mean freezing and shutting off your xbox? Mine completely turns off the entire thing. Very frustrating.

I'm not getting a full-out freeze where I have to turn my Xbox off, but I am getting freezes where it the screen is completely frozen for a few seconds. I tried clearing my cache, turning theatre recording off, nothing works. It wasn't like this last time
I played which was 2 days ago.
