Xbox turns on but doesn't send a signal to the tv

    Xbox turns on but doesn't send a signal to the tv


    I turn my xbox on but it doesn't send out a signal to the tv, it also doesnt connect to any controllers and it doesn't turn off normally I have to hard restart it. Please reply Ive been trying everything.

    X1 stopped turning on and off my audio receiver since update

    I am having the same problem. I have a samsung sound bar hwf450. I was able to get it to send a power signal when the xbox one turns on by turning instant on off but it seems when I turn the xbox off it just doesn't send a signal.

    Also, I'm currently trying to turn my Xbox on right now. At first I was stuck on the green screen of death and so I hard reset it a couple of times, but right now it isn't even emitting a signal to the tv when I turn it on. I tried unplugging it and hard
    resetting it, and I checked the hdmi cord plugged into the tv, but it still doesn't send any signal to the tv. The home button on the console is lit up though, so I know it's on but I don't know what to do. Please help.

    I am having this exact same issue.

    A little background detail : earlier in the day my wife was watching Netflix on the XB1 and it was working perfectly normal. She turned it off when she left for work. When I woke up, I turned it on and all was normal. I tried to launch a game (COD:AW if
    it matters) when the screen went black and would not respond to any input from the controller. I did a hard reset using the power button on the console and when it boots back up, the Controller will not Connect to the console and the console will not output
    any video either through my receiver or directly to my TV. I have tried to reset it into the low resolution mode but nothing different happens when I try to boot that way. I have swapped hdmi cables and unplugged everything from the console and waited 5 min
    and plugged everything back in but still no luck.

    Xbox wont turn on my tv

    I have a problem using the "xbox on" command, even when I put the Kinect right in front of the sensor it still doesn't work. It registers the signal as you can see the light blinking, but the signal is not long enough to turn on the TV. It's because with
    a lot of Panasonic TV's you need to hold down the power button on the remote for it to turn on and the signal the Kinect sends out is too short. As soon as the TV is on however every other IR function works perfectly. Hopefully they'll sort this soon.

    Have you set the Xbox One to control the power toggle of your TV? If so, it will send a signal to your TV to toggle the power state of the TV. Basically, if your TV is On before turning on your Xbox One then the signal sent to the TV will turn it off. If
    it is Off before turning on your Xbox One, then it will turn On the TV.

    Check the settings to see if this is the case. It should be under Settings -> Power & startup -> Power mode & startup -> TV & A/V power options

    Xbox One randomly flicks my TV source to HDMI, then back when in 'instant on' mode.

    No, at least for me it works with just Xbox One connected to TV.

    I have set it to send the signal to turn TV on and it does that. No flicking problem for me though.
