    Xbox Turns off


    Hello everyone.

    It's about 3 months that I can`t play with the xbox because it turns off abnormally as soon as I start a game or upgrade. I checked the fans and they seem to be fine. When turned off, the power supply is as if it is completely disconnected, it does not emit
    any light or noise, you must unplug the plug and reattach it. If you try to turn on immediately afterwards, it will disconnect again as soon as 5 seconds have passed. You have to wait at least 10 minutes of power to be able to surf safely in the home but playing
    it's impossible. I tried installing the latest system update, but I can`t do that for this reason. I don't know where the problem may be. Maybe the power supply? An upgrade that goes into conflict? It's still under warranty. What do you recommend?

    Xbox one plug and play charger.

    Will this charge the controller when the Xbox is turned off?

    When I plug it in after the Xbox is turned off, it turns on again, any way to prevent this if it can charge when the Xbox is off, apart from plugging it in 1st then turning the Xbox off.

    Do you use HDMI to connect the console to your TV? Try changing the cable to a different HDMI connector on your TV if so.

    It may also be a setting on your TV that powers down any devices connected to the HDMI when the TV is off. Try looking in the HDMI settings on your TV for something along the lines of HDMI-CEC or something similar.

    Depends on the brand of your TV, it may be called something else.

    There are a few troubleshooting steps that you can try that might help fix the issue:

    Console turns off unexpectedly

    Failing that, if it is still in warranty then it might be worth sending it in for repair, which you can also do through that link I just posted Xbox Turns off :)

    Hi TEEZYdennis,

    Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Xbox. Is it safe to assume it is an Xbox One?

    I suggest a reset of the console via the troubleshooting screen to get you back to a factory reset.

    To access the troubleshooting screen use these steps:

    1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.
    2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
    4. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press theXbox button on the console.
    5. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
    6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

    From there you can reset your console.

    Thanks for keeping us updated. Were you able to try out any of the troubleshooting steps provided by Erick? When did this start happening?

    If this barely started to occur, then try out those steps to resolve the issue. I think you should try everything before thinking about getting a new console.
