Xbox turns off after playing game for few min but not overheating or a overheating warning

My xbox 1 [original] will turn off after I start a game. Power supply light will be off, no orange or white light at all. Problem started yesterday while playing Battlefield 5 beta, just turned off mid game. Never happened before then. I can unplug power
supply from wall and from back of unit and light will come back on ,but starting a game willl cause it to go off. I can watch youtube or just have it on and power stays on. Never overheated before and is in well ventilated area

Xbox says its overheating but its a little warm

I have had my xbox 360 slim for less than a year and about a month ago when I turn it on after 5 min it says its overheating and when I check the xbox is just a bit warm and after the fan will turn on really loud and the middle red light will turn on and
it will say "xbox is turning off to protect from overheating and after 10 seconds it will turn off. after that I turn it on and I can play straight up for 6 hours and it will not overheat.

I can live with this problem but its really annoying.... PLEASE HELP!!!

 

Xbox 360 S won't stay on

No, I turn my xbox on, put a game in and then it turns off. There couldn't have been overheating because the thing was off for a couple days and then was turned on for a few seconds.

Is it doing it with multiple games?

If so it does sound like something within the Xbox is starting to malfunction.

If your console is still covered by warranty I suggest you to create a repair case.

It could be a power supply problem by what you describe. I'd ask a friend if you could borrow their power supply and get them to try yours and see if it is the power supply. It it is indeed the console it would need to be sent off for repair

Tried just a couple of games but they have all done the same thing

 

Plan on doing that but can't till the weekend

 

Tried brothers dusty power supply while I left couple of games running 4 total of 3 1/2 hours. I didn't play them for more then 15 min but it stayed on the whole time. Customer service told me it was either power brick or the console itself. Would rather
try new power brick before spending 150 to have repair it. Know where to buy official power brick

 

As far as I know they have stopped manufacturing the power bricks but you can try local game stores, amazon as I have found cant find them on the MS store. As far as it working that is great seems you found it wasn't the console and only the power supply.

The console could have issues with the power brick going bad. It is because during gameplay the console tends to use up more power which it is struggling to get from the supply unit.
