    Xbox turning fully on by itself [bug]


    Has anyone else noticed their Series X turning itself on automatically?? I have it set to energy saving but to allow updates whilst not in use so I’m used to hearing it whirr away when it’s off but it’s literally powering right up with the chime and the orb glowing white. It’s definitely not the controller as it’s sitting on my desk. I’m on Alpha Skip Ahead

    I too am experiencing this issue. My Xbox fully turns itself off every night despite having it set to standby mode. Not even the controller will turn it, I have to physically hit the button on the console to power it on the next day.

    There are actually some bugs and glitches with the Skyrim game itself, the Waking Nightmare mission in Dawnstar is bugged and the only way to complete the mission is by turning off all autosaves and powering thru that part.

    As I mentioned in my original post, I've given the Xbox Game Bar app permissions. It's a bug. It shuts itself off even when I have the option turned on for it to turn my mic on by default when I record.

    Thanks for your reply - I have tried all the troubleshooting suggestions that I can find with no luck, so I have sent the console in for repair.

    Plug the console into a separate wall power socket.

    If you're using a power board with other devices connected, the console will not get the power it requires to operate.
