    Xbox Turned Itself Off Power Light Flashing Very Fast


    My xbox randomly turned off mid game like not an instant crash, my game seemed to freeze then I had a black screen, but my party chat was still working for a few seconds. Then my console completely powered off with the power light flashing very fast intermittently for a few seconds before it completely went off. It started back up with no issue as if I had just done a hard reset showing the 4k splash screen before the Xbox Loading screen and is back on and seems fine. I just want to know if anyone has had this issue before as my console is only just in warranty for a few more days.

    Hey Sablefun, there are a couple reasons why your Green Light is flashing.

    1. The green console light will flash slowly when downloading in the background while it is off.

    Reason: After you turn off the console, the console enters a low-power mode. The center of the power button on the console flashes green every four seconds until the download is completed. The other lights around the power button are off, and no images are
    displayed on your monitor or television.

    If you want your console to shut down immediately and not continue to download content in the background, you can turn off the background download option.

    2. The System, is cooling down. That explains itself.

    Does the console boot up and can you connect and sign in to the Xbox network?

    Do you have a Home screen or Troubleshooting screen after turning the console on?

    Are you seeing any error codes? If so, what are they?
