"Xbox turn off" not working after February update

Or to be more precise it's the "YES" bit that doesn't work anymore.

i can't state any clearer that this was flawless before the February update.

"xbox turn off....... Yes" worked every time.

also the ir blaster function of kinect is playing up after the update, before it would power up and down the tv every time.

putting the tv into standbye and wakeing the tv without fail, but now it's 50/50

am I alone?

I have this problem too. X BOX Turn off works very well, but the "Yes" is a hit or miss. What can you do?

 

i had this problem as well since the update, i found that turning the system completely off including the power supply for a few minutes then starting it all up again fixed the problem for me hope this helps.

 

I am having an issue with the "Xbox Turn Off" command. It's not the issue where saying "yes" fails to work.

I get to the yes or no screen, say "yes" and the screen goes blank as if it were going to turn off, but instead just stays blank. The xbox stays on, the TV stays on, but no more commands work. I'm left with a blank screen, and the inability to do anything.


This doesn't happen every time, just once in awhile.

I'm sure resetting the xbox one will fix this, as it has in the past, but this isn't the first time this has happened recently. Is there a reason this happens? Software updating in the background after I've told it to turn off or something?

 

Have any of you tried a hard reset?

Press power button on console for 8 seconds.

Unplug power supply from wall outlet.

Plug back in and boot Xbox up. Problem should be good from here.

If still maintaining issues with your Kinect voice Commands then you should try recalibrating the kinect.

It tends to get fussy if it has been moved around at all.
