"Xbox turn off" and T.V

I have my Xbox turn off my T.V when the Xbox turns off. The problem is that the Xbox logo flashes a few times when turning off and turns the T.V back on after turning it off.

Add ability to turn off entire system or just the xbox one itself

You do have the ability to turn off everything or just the xbox itself. Go to setting and then go to t.v & one guide power settings and then there you will see an option to "turn on your devices" "xbox turn off turns off audio receiver" "xbox turn off turns
off cable or satellite box" "xbox turn off turns off your t.v" You can individually check off one or all of these boxes. This feature has been available since launch.

 

It wouldn't happen they said time and time again.

@coreldan i mentioned " turn my t.v over" meaning channels, i can turn my t.v & xb1 off with voice

 

What brand/model tv do you have? There may be a setting that is enabled on the TV that is conflicting.

 

The t.v is a Sanyo model no. DP46819. I would think it is the Xbox one because when I initially turn it off, it turns the tv off as the logo goes off then the logo lights up again a few more times and the t.v goes back on.

 

That sounds like the console is powering back up again. Does the console come on when this happens?? Also try turning off the TV power settings, shutdown the console then turn it back on and re-enable. I've had issues where the command stops working correctly
and turning it off then back on helps. You might also want to run through the set-up wizard again.

 

The console does not come back on. The light on the console when I turn it off does the following: brightens, dims off, brightens, dims off, brightens, and finally turns off ( doesn't dim). The t.v turns off when the light comes back on the first time and
then turns back on after the second time it comes on. I have done both of your suggestions and neither worked.
