Xbox Troubleshoot menu loop

Whenever
i turn my xbox on, i get the following menu. If i continue, i get a black screen that does nothing. If i select turn off, it does indeed turn off. If i select either option of “reset this xbox” it just restarts and loops back to this menu.

to add to this a little, i didn’t use my xbox for about a year. I bought Tekken and played it about 2 months ago and all worked fine. Turned it off as normal, thrned it back on the other day and confronted with this. Not sure what to do now. Please help!!!!!

I would suggest trying an offline system update and seeing if that helps resolve the issue.

The details on how to do that can be found here. If that doesn't resolve it, I would assume there might be a hardware issue that is causing this screen to pop up regularly for you and would look at having your device
serviced by Microsoft Device Support.

Looks like this XBOX is on an older insider build. Can you leave it up and running connected to the internet over night? it may be in a background process to download newer binaries before it can update to the latest build.
