Xbox took the side of a pedophile harassing me.

I was recently playing against a person that was being toxic in game. At some point, my friend t-bagged him to kind of return the favor. Soon after the game he started messaging my friend saying his (Mod Removed) is definitely bigger than his and that my friends (Mod Removed) is definitely smaller. My friend only replied with “oop” until the person blocked him. On a separate account, shortly after blocking my friend, the same person messaged him calling him names and just saying stuff such as “you’re trash”. About an hour later, we get paired up with the same guy. He starts saying in the in game chat that my friend, who is gay, is homophobic and anyone that can should mass report him for saying the (Mod Removed) slur targeted toward gay people. I said in chat that it’s not true, and he needs to get over himself. After the game he started to message me and immediately started accusing me of being homophobic and saying slurs, then he started calling me names, until finally he called me, in his own words (Mod Removed) which i reported for sexual harassment. Very soon after, i received a message from another account of his saying that I’m the one harassing him. I say i just want to be left alone and long story short he says he will be blocking me for harassing him. I said “okay (Mod Removed) (because he claims to be 21 and is clearly harassing me and my friend who are both under the age of 18) and he took the opportunity to report me for saying (Mod Removed).

I was Communication Banned

I must ask, why would Xbox side with an adult man harassing two children that are under the age of 18, over a 17 year old that just asked to be left alone?

Xbox customer service is closed on saturday so i cannot reach them until monday.

Should children be punished for calling pedophiles what they are?

Or should pedophiles be banned off the system as a whole?

This makes me feel uneasy knowing that he is still on xbox with full capability to harass other children, and there are many like him. Does microsoft condone such activity?

Are you saying that when children are harassed while using your products, the best solution is to ignore it? When a person is making multiple xbox accounts just to spam and harasss you, eventually just “blocking and reporting them” doesn’t do it anymore. Not to mention that you can’t just report someone for harassment. People can be so persistent with this stuff that after awhile the only solution, based on yours, is to just not use your xbox anymore.

The developer of the game has nothing to do with it. It is simply xbox failing to ban pedophiles, and then now protecting them.

In this case, when I am the victim of harassment, why am I communication banned for saying “okay pedophile” but he isn’t for calling me slurs and names that are very sexual. Is xbox just openly permitting adults preying on children?

I don’t think you understand. Just blocking people like these doesn’t work. He made new accounts specifically just to message us after we block him or he blocks us. The fact that xbox has deemed it necessary to not only ban the word “pedophile” but go to the lengths of defending a pedophiles actions is disgusting and shameful.

Hello zuikiai, first i'm sorry for what happened, and as for what happened and related things the best thing to do is never retort or interact with those who are harassing you, just report the played by the console, and can also take a print from the screen and report directly to the developer of the game, this is the best way for these people to be banned.

Your friend should've just report, blocked him and ignored

Retailiation that breaks the rules will still be punished

Block and ignore and report that's all you are allowed to do in this case

You learn this in school you can never.break the rules to retailiafe

Trolls just taunt you you should never ever fall for it that's the idea

They get you so you retaliate and if it.breaks the rules they will report you

And if you reported then that's it

If you keep replying it unblocks them

If your friend had done his job he would've set contacts to friends only

all i can say is just wait for all the perverted pedophiles , and i feel sorry for all the female gamers you know there going to be harassed by all the idiots on call of duty to skype or kinect chat endlessly. go play call of duty with the wife and have
her talk in a lobby just wait and see what happens , its not pretty.
