Xbox to Windows streaming without internet?

I can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere.

Do you need internet to stream games from the xbox to your pc?

I can setup a local network easily, but there will be no internet where I will be setting up. What would REALLY be convenient is direct connecting the two via ethernet cable, but I feel confident that's a long shot.

Xbox App missing stream buttons

Hi, I have recently upgraded my OS from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Pro N.

I have installed Windows Media Feature Pack - still Xbox app is without streaming options.

I have also reinstalled Xbox App, with Powershell commands.

Still, no options to receive stream from Xbox One console to Windows 10

Hey there, Falling Sin! Streaming from your Xbox to your Windows 10 PC uses the local network only, and wired is the best. Unfortunately, direct system link isn't something that's currently supported, however you do not need internet to stream from your
Xbox to your PC.

The only situation I can find that would impede this would be not having the current version of the Xbox App, or your console needing to be connected to the internet to play the game. Other than those, though, you should be able to stream without issue.

I have not tried to stream via the internet but on the same network I stream a lot without any problems. Being able to use my Xbox by streaming to my Surface lets me play anywhere in the house. I will have to try and stream outside the network but I
was not even aware that was an option.

Not without the use of third party hardware/software. I'm not sure if you have an XB1 if you could play the 360 through the HDMI pass-through and stream that - might be worth a try? But it'd be really laggy.

The Xbox app on windows 10 allows you to stream your Xbox to your Windows 10 PC to play on a local internet connection (LAN) with it.

It is not possible to play xbox 360 games on an android phone or Windows 7 professional. You can't even play them on Windows 10. You CAN play them via streaming to your xbox one that is playing the xbox 360 game and play on your Windows 10 PC though.

The Xbox Live app on your phone is for messages, videos, possibly parties and redeeming codes. That's all that it can do.
