Xbox time limit problem

If The Xbox time limit ever gets to end at 10pm and I try add more time it will not go past 10pm no matter what.

Problem Limiting XBox Screen time

Hi there,

the best option would be to create new Xbox Live Accounts specifically for your kids (and each their own Xbox Live Account) that way you will be able to set screen time and restrictions for them with all tools available, unfortunately this will mean they
have to start games from scratch again etc, but it will also allow each of them to create their own Avatar, save games etc.

Even with the loss of progress I would choose this path if it was me in this situation

Problem Limiting XBox Screen time

I have a problem. When my kids bought their XBox One they set up their gamer tag under my personal Microsoft account. Now I need to limit their screen time and get more serious about content restrictions. Here's the problem: I can't limit my own screen time
or content (I would but that does not seem to be possible) and I can't seem to manage his gamer tag separately from my Microsoft account. I know I can't transfer his gamer tag to a different Microsoft account, so I am at an impasse. I need to manage his content
more carefully but I also don't want to make him start all over. Any ideas? Keep in mind I'm a non-gamer so talk to me like I'm 4 years old.

This sounds like there is a Family setting for your account that is preventing the console from being used.

Those settings can be found via the instructions here and are a part of the
core family safety features.

If you didn't set these restrictions, or were not done by a family member, let us know and we can troubleshoot a little further as to what the problem is.

Just raise the time it can be on. Below is an image from my kids Xbox where I do not allow it to be on after 8 even if they have time left.

Make a new child account for your child in order to have control over it. There is no better solution
