Xbox thinks Elite Controller Series 2 is headset. Arctis 9x

I was using the Steele Series Arctis Pro for a year or so, but this required me to connect to parties via the xbox app.

I now use the Arctis 9X which is perfect for the xbox.

It is comfortable for long use and easy to get the right chat to game sound mix on the headset as you play.

I think they are well worth it, but do cost a bit.

I use the elite controller so wireless (mostly) when I get the low battery notification I have a wire that's permanently attached to my Xbox close to hand so I can go wired before the batteries die. I also currently have a turtle beach wired headset that's
connected to my controller, but I'm about to purchase the arctis 9x wireless headset.

I own the Arctis 9X they are full wireless very comfortable, love my headsets

If you can use the headset on the Xbox One / S / X, it should be usable on the Series X,

Steel Series website on the Arctis 9X Headset states it will work on Xbox Series X, if its the Arctis 9X.

As far as I know, most if not all current hardware will be compatible with the Series X, even your games on your external hard drive can just be plugged in and enjoyed.

This makes it easy for me as I have a 4TB external myself and its almost full.

I wouldn't run the game direct from the 4TB hard drive as you wont get the fast loading or fast travel times that the Custom NVMe SSD offers, best to transfer you most regular played games on to the Xbox Series X SSD.

I too am in the same situation as you. I love the noise cancelling feature TB added to the Elite 800X. I have been looking around and currently there is no headset around with NC. The only headsets have it for the microphone portion of the headset.

The current ones that I see compatible with the Series X are:

1. Steelseries Arctis 9X

2. Audeze's Penrose ( I chose this one)

3. The LucidSound LS35X

4. Astro A50

These are just some of the compatible headsets and non have the noise cancellation. There may be more headsets coming out closer to the consoles release date.
