Xbox Themes and Gamer Pics Discussion

Hello Xbox Community,

Just wanted ask what everyones general opinion about the lack of themes and lack of variety when it comes to the gamer pics. I really wish that themes would come back and that gamer pics would be distributed by publishers and sponsored companies. Although
these are small desires, I really mis them cause they make my 360 feel custom and more of my own.

What do you guys think?

Personalized Backgrounds and Gamer Pics

Do you have your interface background set to a certain theme, or do you just use the default choice? What about for your gamer pic?

I use the free Pizza Hut theme that was available for download awhile back. What can I say, I like pizza. I haven't been too happy with the generic gamer pics, though.

 

Gamer Pics and Themes

Hey there

I think that is a great Suggestion, and should be placed in the Xbox Live Suggestions and Wish List forums.

However, to delete profile pictures now, you would have to go into your storage settings. You can do this by,

1. Heading over to your Xbox 360
2. Signing into your Xbox Live Profile
3. Scrolling right to the Settings page
4. Going into System Settings
5. Clicking onto Memory/ Storage
6. Clicking onto the storage device in which your Gamer Pictures and Themes are installed onto
   
7. Then pressing onto themes or gamer pictures and following the instructions from there
   

You will be able to select them for further options on what you want to do with them. Including, moving them onto a different storage device and deleting them if you want to.

2nd of all, support for themes and gamerpics on the Xbox One would be nice to have, I think.

 

There is currently a suggestion about gamerpics in place on the feedback site. Help the cause by voting for it. This thread is a nice place to voice your opinion. But you need to vote if you want to change anything.

 

I was actually surprised by how often they have been adding gamerpics lately. For free even.

Im sure they will eventually add, game related ones that can be purchased from the store like on 360.

Im not quite sure how themes would work on the X1 dashboard though.

These are needed on the Xbox One. I would especially like to see some Classic Xbox Logos for Gamerpics, as well as Classic Xbox 360 Logos for Gamerpics. Themes for games such as Ryse: Son of Rome would be amazing, as well as Dead Rising and Tomb Raider:
Definitive Edition. More customization is definitely needed.

 

Agreed we need some customisation with the Xbox One. Gonna check out the user voice site and vote

 

Anyone else hope the gaming-focused future of XB1 will lead to a revision of the UI? I can see how tiles works smoothly with kinect controls, but it's just a bit too Windows 8 for me.

Bring back the "Xbox Experience" or whatever it was called, back when avatars were prominent. That aesthetic was way ahead of what we have now.

 

even a nice background wouldn't go a miss tho i barely see it but be nice to have something behind my pins other than the abyss lol

Gamerpics seem to be coming pretty quick tho so i guess its just a gotta wait for em all kinda thing

 

I haven't noticed any new gamerpics on XB1. Am I missing something obvious or are you folks talking about 360?

 

I think the best idea would be too use the art that we sometimes win from those zero point achievements (think they are called challanges) the art in some of those is amazing, and yet for the majority of the time will go unseen.

Why not use the art that the developers have put work into too create and use it as backgrounds?

 

Definitely need the option of themes, a photo, an achievement picture or a different colour for the background.

As Shaggy2000 said, some achievement pictures have a lot of detail and would make a great gamer picture or background.

 

I think the UI will have to eventually change because of the fact that Kinect isn't a main priority anymore. I'm personally fine with it, but I wouldn't mind more customization with themes and more gamerpics. I think it would be cool to have gamerpic gifs.
It would also be cool to have themes in motion.. I can picture the Xbox sphere logo slowly rotating on an axis like earth in the background.
