Xbox telling me I have to remove a device to play a game

Bought a game on my Xbox from the marketplace (silly little indie game, Hunting Ducks II). Can't play it. All I get is a message saying "to use this here, first remove another device."

This makes no sense. It's literally only installed here on this one Xbox. Why would anyone care how many devices I have, anyway? Don't you want for me to buy as many things as possible? If I'm not trying to play it in two locations under the same gamer tag, why block the game? Steam doesn't care how many places I have anything installed. It just prevents multiple simultaneous execution. Besides, in this case, it's only installed in one location.

BTW, just had Spartan Runner do the same thing to me. Seriously, Microsoft, what's the deal? Let me play my stupid games for which I've already paid you money.

Does this message only happen with this game or with any other game?

Hi, Georges. Neither game mentioned above is listed as an XBox 360 game. I'm currently trying to play on my XBox One-X (my series X is going to have to go in for a warranty claim, as it's turning on, but not currently able to display a picture

).

I believe that I had this happen with Spartan Runner on my Series X as well, and eventually I just gave up.

I have fh5 on my pc through the Xbox app yesterday I was playing convoy with my friend but he could see me and I couldn’t see him we tried everything and got off now I tires playing the game and it tells me that when I got a refund for the game it was removed from my device but I never refunded and game never saw any refund to my account and when I go to the store it says play.

I have added the "My Xbox Live Manual Port Forward" and then selected XBOX ONE but after applying i get this message.

The game or application you’ve selected conflicts with an application () you’ve already assigned to another device.

Please remove the other application or select the same device.

Can any tell me hat to do next please??

I got the message telling me that it will remove the update and will requie me to re-download it from xbl. When I selected yes, all of the type on the popup menu disappeared and just a white box remained on the screen for about 10 minutes. Just re-booted,
no profiles on the machine and now it's telling me I have no memory devices (I removed the USB drive prior to the lb rb x attempt). I had the memory device before I started this..what do I do now?
