Xbox teams with Rosetta Stone to launch language learning games!

sounds good doesn't it?

You guys sell a video game that can teach guitar. Why not put out games so that people can learn new languages? Myself, I want to learn Greek but paying $400-500 for a Rosetta stone... I don't think so! I am not one to learn from reading a book and listening
to tapes by myself.

This made me think, why isn't there an interactive game that can teach new languages. It may start off with silly little memory games, or possibly a game show style of things against other online players, trivia, or even a campaign that teaches you as you progress.
These are just a few ideas.

It may even be possible to get together with a company such as Rosetta Stone and and come up with an agreement. I hope that someone seriously considers this. I have forwarded this same message to rosetta stone.

Also if it is specifically contracted with Rosetta Stone, so that Paystation can not do the same. This will boost Xbox sales and open the video game market to a whole new type of customer base.

I think some great languages that would be popular to start with would be French, Spanish, Greek, German and Italian.... an I suppose even English for those eastern countries.

With the launch of the Khan Academy app in late 2014, the Xbox One began to truly evolve into more than a simple video game console. With the Khan Academy app, Xbox One owners gained the ability to study a variety of subjects offered by the online service in the comfort of their living room with just a controller in hand.



The Xbox One becomes even more educational today with the launch of Rosetta Stone’s Discover Languages app which teaches gamers either English or Spanish vocabulary and grammar through a variety of immersive simulations and games.

Rosetta Stone’s Discover Languages app also includes study recommendations, cultural tips and phrase books in addition to Xbox Achievements (though, with no Gamerscore due to it technically being an Xbox One app and not a game).



No news if any other languages such as Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, or French are coming to the app though hopefully if it’s popular, it’ll grow to become a real language learning powerhouse.

I can see schools possibly picking it up, as well (public, private and home schoolers). Never know...

Yeah , £50 a pop with a day one patch , paid DLC and micro transactions , sounds blinding .

 

roseta stone has a great app with brain games. that would be cool on xbox

Just my idea would to incorporate Kinect and you'd have to say whatever it is in that language. A quick example would be like in a RPG type game, you want that sword, say it in Spanish, you want to open a door, say it in Korean etc. It would be basically
an adlt version of Dora....LOL.
