    Pretty cool!

    I don't really care much for sales but its nice to hear its selling well. When I invest in a product, I want to know it will make the company enough money to support it for a long duration. That if anything, is pretty much all I care for when it comes to

    I dont think slashing prices and changing skus is effective marketing, quit frankly the xbox team should never at any point receive praise this generation, what a mess (i like my xbox one i do).

    As Cloud says tho, aslong as its supported through its lifespan and i get some games out of it. all is well. i'll doubt we'll see an xbox two though.

    Well I don't think a marketing person is required to see that dropping the price by $100 = more sales. Unless they plan on doing it next month as well.

    Marketing would suggest some effort to improve the perception of the hardware/brand through whatever technique/media/mantra. For me price drops and free stuff fall short of a workable long term methodology.

    Not that it really effects any of us who already own the console, but they shouldnt be well chuffed, they've basically savaged the brand on a global scale.

    Means nothing without significant sales figures. Could mean they sold four instead of two.

    Weren't the NPD numbers around 170-200k for month? so 85k for may, worth noting the PS4 had > 260k for the month and the Wii u around 130?

    The 360 had something like 277k for the first june after launch is that right? It's fair to say Microsoft has diminished the brand somewhat in the NA market.

    The problem was the price, rather than the console. It was never worth £430, and that is the one and only reason why the sales figures were so poor.

    I have to agree, I think price was a sticking point, it just wasn't worth around the £400 mark, even thought I did pay that for one XBOX Team Marketing must be pretty chuffed! :D

    September onwards should be when sales start ramping up

    I'll confess though, I think Sony have pretty much got this gen in the bag as far as sales figures go, not that I care, but the good side is MS will hopefully continue, as they are now, to narrow the gap as much as possible by offering better deals and creating
    better content
