xbox system update not working

i perform the system update it goes through step2 and starts step3 but when my system shuts down it does not restart it stays off and does not complete the update. i have tried it several times and just will not turn back on after the shut down. this has
me wanting to throw it in the trash and switch to another gaming platform. sucks when you spend so much money on games and can not even have the equipment working

thank you for replying, i have done the troubleshooting with no success. the system just shuts down after step two and does not boot back up, i am on the early access for the dashboard forget the program but i am always getting updates, xbox was working
fine until the update popped up while i was on and the fact i can not get online without doing this update is very aggravating. this update did something to my xbox because it was working fine until it happened. is there a way to back it up and opt out of
all these updates??? kind of [Mod removed- inappaorpriate] to have xbox gold to get online when i can not get online

Hello MasterChief! If you have the my games and apps tab in the upper right corner on your home screen then you are up to date. If not, then you can manually update your console by going to settings, console and updates and if the update available option
is highlighted you can select it and manually update your console. Hope this helps. Let me know.

im still getting the same problem and the trouble shooting seemed to not work my error code says 0x801901F7 0x00000000 0x00000206
