    Xbox system update failure


    i am constantly getting a system update failure for my xbox one. with the following message

    You need this update to use your console, but something went wrong, for help visit xbox.com/xboxone/update/help

    Source OS: 10.0.19041.3025

    Target OS: 10.0.19041.2494

    Console ID: (Redacted for privacy reasons)

    Error code: 0x8B05000f 0x00000000 0x90130007

    For some reason my console is trying to update with an older version of the OS , i am not sure why this is happeneing. I have removed the console from insiders but i am still facing this issue, i tried to factory reset the console and now when the console
    boots up it directly goes for the update and fails.

    I have tried the offline system update method using the OSU but get a e101 error. The console is as good as bricked. Any suggestions or tips to fix this please help me.

    System Update Failure

    No as we are testing ahead before it becomes public release for bugs and performance

    Thats what the insiders program is all about

    2080 is not the general release nor is osu able to access it

    Only by removing the console from insiders beta app on windoes 10 pc can you use the general release

    Then rwturn to insidrrs if you want

    Insirrs vrrsion is alwyas higher then cutrent general release

    Which is why you cant use osu without uaing the app

    R/xboxinsiders is for all insiders program related issues but as mentiomed you can just remove the console and go back to public

    The insidrrs version number will oy be the same as general release when the build becomes public but insiders build would be well past that build

    Since 4050 is still in beta you cant use osu

    As the article you posted mentioned it is only a insidrrs beta not public release

    Released this week actually so its not possible that it is public release yet

    Hello there,

    Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums! I understand that not being able to update your console can be frustrating but I will be more than happy to assist you today with this issue. just to clarify, I understand you've done several troubleshooting steps
    but, have you tried to do an Offline System Update? If not, I would suggest trying an

    Offline System Update     to try and resolve the issue with the Update.

    System Update Failures

    Hey GMCG1, Unfortunately the update is mandatory and there is no way around it. The only solution would be to send the Xbox for repair since that error code states to contact Xbox Support, but here is a forum with some possible solutions and error codes

    hello, @ValorousChief01. i need to have a better understanding of what your problem is. did it prompt you for a update when you inserted the game or was it an Xbox Live update that you received when you turned on the console ?
