Xbox system update bricked my disc drive

Your console has a 1 year warranty, within the warranty, you have no cost to send for repair.

Thanks for your reply. I tried all the above with no luck. It's quite frustrating that a software update broke my console, leaving me with no recourse but a $299 "repair".

Same thing with me. Same software version. My xbox boots to Troubleshoot page and I tried everything OSU1 update etc.. I get errors E200, E101 and E106. Don't know what to do. Warranty expired long back.

Remove the disc from the console, do these 2 steps below, and try again, please.

Step 1: Clear the storage cache on your console.

Press the Menu key on your controller.

Click Settings, devices and streaming and then go Blu-Ray.

Select Persistent Storage.

Click Clear Persistent Storage 3 times

Step 2: Power cycle your console.

Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console until it shuts down completely.

Unplug the console's power cable, wait 10 seconds. Be sure to wait 10 seconds, this step resets the power supply. 

Plug the console power cable back in, turn on your Xbox.

If the problem persists reset the console to factory defaults, you won't lose anything but you will need to log in with your account again. Email and password are required.

Follow this path and select reset keeping games and app.

In 5 to 10 minutes you will finish reconfiguring your console

To reset the console>

Settings> System> Console Info> Reset Console

***Do not reset your console without having your account email and password.***

And if after all this troubleshooting it doesn't work, I'm afraid your console needs repair.
