Xbox SX Live streaming sometimes causes strange rendering issues on stream device and on xbox

Streaming to my Steam Deck usually works great, but occasionally I run into graphical issues. On the Deck (using the Chrome browser), the game sometimes renders in a small box in the top-left corner, with visual artifacts stretching beyond the bottom and right edges—it honestly looks a bit like the Tesseract scene in Interstellar .

When this happens on my Xbox/TV setup, the graphics are also messed up—missing fonts and poorly rendered menus. Last night, it took two full reboots to fix it, but after that, everything worked fine and I played for 90 minutes without any problems.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of issue?

Hello chrisloughnane, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

It sounds like you may be having some connection issues here. If you aren't already I would like to recommend using an ethernet connection for both your console and PC. The reason I suggest this is because if you're on a wireless connection your stretching your bandwidth between every other device that is connected wirelessly as well. This can cause some issues when streaming.

In the meantime though please try shutting down your devices (unplug the Xbox) and then unplug your modem/router for at least 60 seconds to clear any possible issues there. When the internet is back up and running you can try again.

Hey there Anupamvi! Are you streaming music on the primary PC (or any other device) when you're trying to download the app for the secondary PC? I know that you can only stream on one device at a time, so if any devices are streaming music when you're trying
to get the app for another device that might be causing the issue.

It's a pity, Mixer was a good platform to stream on.

Anyways, I would prefer Twitch to be integrated in both Xboxes - One & SX rather than YTG & FBG.

Yes, I have multiple other wireless devices that can connect to the Internet and stream videos/movies with no issues. I can stream video on my laptop, ipad, and Samsung Bluray player. Only the XBox is having issues disconnecting from XBox Live.

Are you using the Xbox Console Companion on your PC trying to stream from Xbox or the Xbox Game Streaming (Preview)?

Try going to Device connections on your Xbox and make sure Xbox is able to connect.

Also check Allow Play To streaming and Allow game streaming to other devices.

System > Devices & streaming > Device connections
