    Xbox switches to Netflix and Youtube RANDOMLY!


    Recently my xbox has started to disregard what I am doing and switch straight to netflix our youtube at random times. Does anyone have any solutions to this issue? as of right now my only solution is to delete the the youtube app.

    Suspend and resuming multiple apps confusion.

    In an interview Microsofts Albert Penello stated that the xbox one can run 4 apps at once.

    All 4 of these apps will suspend and resume as the user switches between them.

    For example, you loadup Netflix, IE, Youtube and Uplay.

    You should now be able to switch between those 4 apps and each app should resume instantly from where you last were.

    Is this correct? Because my xbox does not work like that.

    I load netflix, put a film on, then switch to IE.

    I go back to Netflix and film is still running. Excellent.

    Pop straight back to IE. Still running. Excellent

    I then go to Youtube, then back to Netflix and... Netflix has quit and needs to reload.

    I pop back to Youtube and that has also quit and needs to load.

    IE is still running.

    I check Youtube and Netflix and they are both still running. Now i have 3 apps running at once.

    So i load a fourth app, check to see what is still running, and Youtube and IE have both quit, leaving only Netflix and my current app open.

    Why do the apps keep quitting?

    Another example , i was watching Netflix, switched to Dead rising 3, then back over to Netflix, expecting the film to resume, but instead had to reload the app.

    Why would loading a game cause an app to reset?

    Summing up: i can't have more than 2 apps running at once, although sometimes i have had 3, i even had 4 apps once but after a couple of minutes of switching two of them randomly quit. And loading a game can also cause apps to quit.

    Is this a known bug in the OS?

    Do i have a faulty xbox?

    Or have i misunderstood how the machine functions?

    Xbox one 's buzzing and shut down

    so I recently purchased the xbox one s battlefield edition. While watching YouTube or Netflix it starts randomly buzzing and shuts down. It's very frustrating. If there's nothing I can do this will be the 3rd xbox one I have returned.

    This is happening to a few of us on reddit. Its switching between youtube and other apps from gaming when the console randomly shuts down. Booting back up everything is fine but then it will randomly do it again when switching apps. Its something on microsofts
    end it seems.

    My Xbox one drops out when I play a game in my xbox ..

    with the beginning of the xbox or when watching youtube / netflix, I have no problems. until I place a game or CD in my xbox. from the moment I do that, the xbox is automatically switched off again.

    Is the Kinect picking up on the movie audio itself and mistaking it for a voice command? It's been known to happen.... I've had it happen with Netflix and Youtube.

    If it is bugging out and muting audio randomly then I'm not sure what to suggest.

    Ok so as an update: I have not had any issues with YouTube anymore, even with long streaming sessions. It's a total mystery to me how the problem just randomly vanished. I have not tried Netflix yet. I will do so and then post whether or not the issue is
    still there.

    xbox one rearrange pins not in the right order

    ok I figured it out. its actually not random. wherever I put a pin, the next time I go back it is located one more tile to the left. FOR EXAMPLE:

    I start in order from left to right (hulu, Netflix, crackle, youtube)

    1 if I take Netflix and put it at the end ( hulu, crackle, youtube, Netflix)

    2 then the next time it will show ( hulu, crackle, Netflix, youtube)

    3 now lets say I take hulu and put it at the end ( crackle, Netflix, youtube, hulu)

    4 now then it will show ( crackle, Netflix, hulu, youtube)

    5 ok one last example I take crackle and put it in between Netflix and hulu ( Netflix, crackle, hulu, youtube)

    6 ok it goes back to ( crackle, Netflix, hulu, youtube)

    hopefully this examples it but like I said, it goes one more tile over to the left that I place it at.

    very frustrating
