xbox suspension

i got a 2 week coms ban that i think was completely unwarrented other person sent first message insulting me i was sival nothing insulting what so ever the kept messaging back keeping up the insults. At which point i messaged asking "why they had such a
problem we won the (Mod Removed-Profanity)

game"...i know i swore but it was in general conversation not aimed directly at them like a insult or anything i reported them but they didnt get suspended been trying to get in contact with xbox but i
either get sent here or have to answer 10 questions about Code of conduct which to be fair unless you know it off by heart your not answering some of them any ideas or advice would be great thanks

Hey there. Using profanity in messages is a breach of the xbox live terms of servive so a suspension is warranted in this situation.

 

so i get a ban for 1 bad word but he gets nothing for multiple insults ...yeah thats fair

im not denying anything i would expect a suspension of 3 days not 2 weeks and he gets nothing...seriously

your only option is to perform a case review if eligible by going to enforcement.xbox.com the enforcement team can and will ban for a single word that is considered offensive.

The 10 questions on the code of conduct are set as a gauge to see how much you understand about what can and cannot be done/said on xbox live, If you fail a question then you have to wait 24 hours to reapply for it, If you get them right then you can appeal
the ban.

You would be best off not replying to a player that sends hateful messages and instead simply use the report option under their gamertag, These reports are then reviewed by the enforcement team.

 

i appreciate the help but my issue is that i accept that i done wrong but i just think 2 weeks is way to much for 1 word that wasnt even directly aimed at the person but they insult me multiple times i report them

outcome is i have 2 week ban they are still playing im not after a get out of jaill just reduce the time to something bit more reasonable

 

Suspension length varies based on the severity of the situation as well as any previous enforcement actions. So if you've had suspension before, that's why it's so long.
