Xbox Support/Refund

I had an issue with my gamertag name change and my name was not changing, so I used the chat with an agent thing, after 45 min he came to the conclusion I should ask for a refund and it would for sure be accepted, well it was not, it was denied. I am wondering what I should do? It is annoying that the one thing I was told to do did not work and I am being charged for something that does not work. Any suggestions on how to get this fixed? I just want a refund and I know that they normally don't refund gamertag purchases, but like the support team legit told me they would accept it and that was my only option.....

After submitting, wait for an email on the status of your refund. You should get one within 72 hours and if your request is approved, you'll get your money back soon after. Refunds are processed in 3 - 5 days.

When refund gets denied, you can actually file an appeal for the results of the refund.

All you need to do is to reply to the email that was sent to you by the refund team, you can reply with a detailed explanation so they can review your request again and grant you a possible exception.

After approval, refund estimated time can be up to 5 business days, but it can take more than expected due to internal processes with your financial institution
If that happens I can advice you to get in touch with your financial institution as soon as possible to speed up the process

you cab try calling the support number 1800-4my-xbox and asking them for a refund, it shouldnt be problem as long as you have not requested a refund recently

Phone support no longer issue a refund. All refunds have now been assigned to a specific team inside xbox support and you must fill in the refund request form
