Xbox support hotel captive portals???

hey I'm going to a hotel and I saw a post saying that the Xbox one now supports captive portals the th Nfs they use at hotels is this ture because I want to play D2 on my Xbox pls help

Connect to Captive Portal

Hi Forum,

I'm having serious problems connecting the XBox to a wireless network which is behind a captive portal. I've understood that xBox supports captive portals since this year, but I cannot seem to connect. The XBox tries to connect to any page on the internet,
and then the router directs it to its captive portal login page. However, this page is never displayed on the xbox.

A problem could be that the portal's login page doesn't have a security certificate. In a normal PC setup you then get a page stating that there's a security exception, and then you click on "show anyway" and get the login page.

Anyone experience with such captive portals?

Captive Portal Feature

Hello Xbox Support,

The Captive Portal Feature was rolled out in March 2017, but the feature does not exist on my Xbox one. Can someone please help me with this issue?

Back in April Mike Ybarra, said "soon" but I'm not sure if it's possible yet.

There're numerous of options to circumvent a captive portal (authentication page).

Before we begin, could you tell if you also have a computer that you use to connect to the Internet through your hotel's network.

Hi there, i believe this is possible now on the Xbox One only though.

Sign in using the EDGE Browser to the portal and you should be ready to go.

Are you connecting your console to a hotspot, or a guest network at a hotel, which are secured by a captive portal (authentication web page)?

The second option require you to spoof the MAC address of an already associated/authenticated/authorized device and not the MAC address of whatever interface you're using to connect your Xbox (ethernet/wireless).

Also, make sure you're not concurrently connected with the current associated/authenticated/authorized device and your console, as they use the very same layer 2 identity.
