Xbox support chat won't start.

Hi, thanks for helping out. I am basically trying to reach the xbox support, but just before the chat opens up, I get a screen where I am supposed to enter my details (name and email). Even though I am logged in and my email appears on that screen,
both my first and last names are missing and the boxes containing them are grayed out (as is the box containing my email). Any clues?

tried logging out, reloading the chat screen, logging in again... still the same....

Here's what I get>>

FIRST NAME*
LAST NAME*
EMAIL ADDRESS XXXXXXXX@XXXXXX.com *required fields

there's a warning on the page right before that one that reads: "To manage your subscription, sign in to your Microsoft account" which seems to include a hyperlink ("sing in..... account" is underlined) but nothing happens if I click it... besides,
I already am signed in with my MS account...!

Can anyone help been trying for two days to contact support via chat and the first name surname fields are always greyed out so it won't let me start the chat?

 

Games won't start, showing error message.

Any game I try to play won't start, I was in chat with support team and after hours of trouble shooting they sent me here.

 

Make sure the information is filled in at account.microsoft.com and on the payment options and address details. Let us know if that helps. Good Luck!

 

Hi. Obviously my Microsoft account has my information and is even displaying everything correctly on every other page (so I can't really change anything even if I wanted to, because everything seems to be correct).

I HOPE that I don't need to "pay" in order to contact someone via chat, to explain them a problem! I've only bought stuff from the store until now either free of charge or by using credit/vouchers so I don't have a payment option registered.

Under "personal info" (where my address is) there's no line for a name, I guess it picks it up automatically from my account. So what would you suggest that I do?

 

I can't help but notice that his question wasn't answered and i'm having the same issue and no employees from Microsoft or Xbox seem to care enough to actually help the community.

Sometimes this issue can be if the information on the account doesn't match the region you're located in. For example, let's say someone's country on the profile was not set the actual country they're located in, this sort of issue can happen since there
would be conflicting information.

I am having the same issue. Microsoft are trying to sort it out, but my Microsoft account and billing details are all complete and it still doesn't allow me to use on line support - the first name and surname fields are greyed out so I cannot submit a support
request online.

 

MICROSOFT AND XBOX ARE PATHETIC, XBOX ONE IS THE WORST CONSOLE EVER MADE CANT EVEN GET ON LIVE SUPPORT TO GET HELP FOR THE **** CONTROLLERS I HAVE THAT DISCONNECT EVERY 2 SECONDS.
