    Xbox suddenly very loud


    I've had my Xbox for almost a year now, and it's always been a relatively quiet machine. The last few days, however, what sounds like the fan has gotten very loud, to the point where at night when I am watching TV I can hear the whirring over the TV. This
    noise starts as soon as I turn the console on, and maintains as long as it is on.

    I chatted with support, did the power cycle, and they told me I'd have to send it in for repair, leaving me without an Xbox (and TV, and streaming center) for a few weeks. I am wondering if there is any other people who have had this issue, and if there
    is a way to fix it that won't leave me without an Xbox for an extended period. I also saw an article online when trying to fix this problem that says Microsoft acknowledged the issue and is replacing loud consoles, but I have no idea how (or if it's even possible)
    to actually call them and speak to a real person.

    Wierdly, I have completely the opposit problem. Everything is normal volume on the Xbox one, but when I run my foxsat through the TV input I can hardly hear it, so have to whack the volume right up...

    Xbox one very loud

    My problem is different. It is not a whining noise it is just that the output volume seems high, more so than for a Bluray player. Same w.ith PS3.

    On screen controls keep popping up.

    A thing I noticed: When setting up Kinect, test loudly... very loud (if too loud the Xbox will give you an on-screen message) with no background noise at all.

    I also have this problem with my xbox too, i usually just tap the side lightly a couple times and it stops.

    Hey there o Nero o.

    A mechanical clicking certainly isn't a normal sound to hear from your Xbox One S. If you recently purchased it I recommend reaching out to the retailer for an exchange. Be sure that your Xbox One S is plugged directly into a wall outlet, as power strips
    and converters can cause trouble like this.
