Hello everyone

I am paying for xbox live gold (5.99/month) and xbox game pass (7.99 per month).

Do I need both of these for forza, fortnite etc?

Congrats! The Live subscription works for both the 360 and Xbox One. It's not different subscriptions.

Hey Xbox Gamer,

You will need the Gold subscription to play games online. Game Pass allows you to access a library of games, but if you already own them, there is no point in keeping it. Hope this clears up some things

OK so let me explain the difference between the two subscriptions

1. Xbox live gold- Required if you want to play multiplayer games with people online and chat in party chat and message people. Fortnite is an online only game so would be gold subscription would be required to play that game. Forza I believe has a campaign
mode to it and does not require a gold subscription.

2. Game pass- think of it like a Netflix subscription for xbox games with over 200 games currently on the list that changes sometimes games are added and sometimes games are taken away. just like Netflix

You can have a Game pass subscription without having a gold subscription you just would not be able to play a multiplayer aspect of any of the games without the gold subscription.

It will have all the steps on how to stop/cancel a subscription.

Keep in mind that if there is an payment due, that will need to be paid prior being able to cancel the subscription.
