Xbox streaming/ play anywhere.

I am getting a pc soon and I was wondering when you use Xbox streaming or play anywhere are you using your PC or Xbox (like the actual components)? Also, let's say I was playing GTA 5 on Xbox streaming, would I still be on Xbox servers or can I still play with my friends on Xbox? Last thing, can I still join parties with my friends on PC streaming/play anywhere as if I was still on Xbox?

As it streams across your local network, it can be traffic and network connection speed dependent.

Xbox streaming requures the companion app on pc but needs a console not paid

Xbox playanywhere limited amount of titles but needs to be installed locally

Xbox streaming and play anywhere are different services, the first one it's about using your console mirrored into your PC, that means that you are really playing on the Xbox but using bthe oc as the screen, so all connections capacities are the ones on the console

Play anywhere it's about purchases, this it's the quality of some games form Microsoft store to be able to download and play between different devices with only one purchase

There is two options for playing your Xbox one on your pc. These are called Xbox Play Anywhere, and Xbox game streaming.

Xbox play anywhere, allows you to purchases select titles on on of the two platforms (Windows 10 or Xbox One) and play your copy on either platform, with your cloud saves transferring easily between the two. More info on play anywhere and

If your little brother is using the Xbox system, then you would have to look into play anywhere titles. If he is not using the system, but just using the tv it is connected to, then you could use game streaming.
