Xbox Streaming app has audio, but it doesn't have a video.

The title pretty much says it all. Here's what it looks like.



I can hear the game and home audio. But, there's no video.

Please help.

I need some help with streaming

So I am just streaming my Xbox video to my Xbox app on my win 10.

So I just started a party on the app so party audio goes through there, Then I cant hear other audio.

Like I just need the game audio to stream too but I cant figure out how

 

No sound recorded in XBOX GAME DVR videos in Windows 10

I have 2 XBOX ONEs and neither of them are recording audio with Game DVR in Windows 10 when streaming via XBOX App.

They both have the NXOE update. Video records just fine.I recorded a number of videos from Xbox App a month ago with audio but now it's not working.

PC - Alienware Aurora R4. OS Windows 10.

Solution 1: Run the Windows app troubleshooter to scan and repair your app. You may refer to this

Solution 2: Reset the Xbox app.

1. Press the Windows key, and then select the gear icon to access Settings.
2. Select Apps.
3. Under Apps & features, locate the Xbox app.
4. Click the Xbox app, and then click Advanced options.
5. Click Reset.
6. Restart your computer to save the changes made on your computer.

Solution 3: Try the Test streaming option in the Xbox app to test the streaming connection. On the Xbox app, go to Console icon and select
Test streaming.

These are the troubleshooting steps I did so far:

- I updated all my drivers

- I downloaded and installed FFDShow (for codecs). I found this "solution" online. Refer to this link:

- I contacted and had a chat with the Xbox Support. She asked me to reset the app and reset my console (but keep my games and apps)

- Do the Test Streaming option. Everything came out okay 4/4 check marks.

I did test the streaming on my brother's laptop, it turned out quite well, I was able to stream my Xbox to the laptop without a problem. So I'm guessing there is something within my laptop that is not agreeing with the Xbox app.

For the solution that you provided. I did every one of it. But, none of them worked. Whenever I stream, I could still hear the game and menu sounds. Even press the Xbox button from the app and it will respond on my Xbox.

I even tried putting the stream on low quality. But still... No picture/video.



I am taking all the help I could get just to get this resolved.

 

UPDATE: I discovered that whenever I try to play videos that were recorded by my friends, this shows up. THE VIDEO DOES NOT PLAY.

I successfully reset the laptop yesterday and chose the option to keep my files. But, the problem still persists. The videos still can't be decoded, the stream doesn't show up.

 

Thank you for the information. May I know if you installed the latest Windows 10 Update on your computer before the issue started? If so, it is possible that there's something wrong with the update applied to your computer which causing the video not showing
when streaming to your Xbox app. I suggest that you download and run the Windows Update troubleshooter on this

link to scan and repair the Windows Update applied on your computer.

I updated everything. It's my first time using the Xbox App. I ran the troubleshooter and it said it couldn't identify the problem.
